THE '80s "STREET PROPHET" OF PHILADELPHIA

A few sources that were around in 1980's Center City Philadelphia remember a rambling, eccentric street-prophet type that would babble on about Kubrick, Toynbee, Clarke, and dead resurrection on Jupiter. We haven't gotten a concrete physical description of him.

Toynbee.Net webmaster Bill O'Neill received emails from folks who said this prophet, or someone like him, had shown up on Greyhound Buses with literature, and others claimed to have heard him on shortwave radio. All of these sightings date back to the 1980s - presumably before this fellow became disillusioned with his modes of communication and decided to try something new: making and glueing Tiles.
